The Batch load enrollment process allows you to quickly upload enrollments and completions (including waives and exempts) into the LMS. In addition, this process also allows you to drop existing enrollments and completions. If there is a prerequisite on the resource, an enrollment created through a Batch Upload will override the prerequisite.
When using the batch upload, data is organized in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (saved as a .CSV file) and uploaded to the learning management system. Changes take place immediately and cannot be undone, although they can be overwritten.
Technically there is no limit to the number of rows that can be uploaded, and spreadsheets with tens of thousands of rows have been successfully uploaded. However, a best practice is to initially pilot small batches to make sure things go the way you expect. The smaller batches allow you to review errors, and review learning plans and history before proceeding with larger batches.
Note: Batch course completions and enrollments can be uploaded for both facilitated and other resources. When the Batch Course Completion is used for facilitated resources, enrollment and credit are assigned at the resource level and not for a specific class session. If class session level detail will be useful for facilitated resources, use the Batch Load ILT Classes process instead.
